Getting In
For our international and out-of-town guests, we suggest arriving on 19 March 2027 to give yourselves time to rest and settle in before the big day.
By Air
Hawke's Bay Airport (NPE) is our local airport, about a 25–30-minute drive from Omatua Riverside Lodge and about a 10-minute drive from Napier CBD. It's domestic-only, so depending on where you're travelling from:
Flying within New Zealand: Air New Zealand flies direct to Napier from Auckland, Wellington, and Christchurch several times daily.
Flying from Australia: We'd suggest flying into Auckland or Wellington first, then taking a short connecting flight to Napier (around 1 hour from Auckland, 45 minutes from Wellington).
Flying from Europe: International flights land in Auckland. From there, it's a quick connection to Napier, or you're welcome to hire a car and make the 5–6 hour drive part of your NZ adventure. Please note New Zealand requires most visitors to hold an NZeTA (New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority) before arrival. It's a quick online process, but worth sorting a little in advance.
By Car
If you'd like to explore more of the North Island, driving to Napier is a beautiful option. It takes roughly 5–6 hours from Auckland or 4 hours from Wellington, both with plenty of worthwhile stops along the way.
Getting to the Venue
Rental cars, taxis, and rideshares are all available from Hawke's Bay Airport and around Napier for getting to your accommodation. On the day of the wedding, we'll be arranging a shuttle to and from the hotels to Omatua. If you'd like to make use of this, please let us know via your RSVP and we'll be in touch closer to the date with pickup times and locations.
